The function of a bypass switch?

A Static Bypass is a direct connection that links the input power source to the output, providing power to the load without routing it through the UPS system.

How does a UPS Bypass Switch operate?

A UPS Static Bypass switch allows for bypassing the standard UPS operation in the event of an overload or fault. A well-designed system should enable this to happen without disrupting the power supply to the load.

What is the UPS Bypass Mode?

The UPS Bypass mode is activated when the circuit is redirected from going through the UPS to bypassing it. A manual bypass switch is employed to remove the UPS from the circuit for maintenance, service, or in case of malfunction. An automatic transfer switch operates similarly to a manual switch, but also automatically transfers the load from the UPS to the main electrical supply in case of internal UPS failure.

What is a Bypass Switch in an Inverter?

In a static inverter system, the Bypass switch functions similarly to a UPS system, allowing the system to be bypassed if maintenance is required or if there is an issue.

What is UPS THDi?

Total Harmonic Distortion (THDi) is a measure of the level of harmonic distortion. It is calculated by comparing the combined power of all harmonic frequencies to the power of the fundamental frequency. THDi is widely used to assess the power quality of electrical power systems and to describe the linearity of audio systems.
